Metropolitano Hospital’s Clinical Laboratory is endorsed and quality controlled by the College of American Pathology, which is the entity in the United States that controls and evaluates clinical laboratories. This service includes the following areas: hematology, clinical chemistry, hormonal, gastroenterology, immunology, end ocrinology, genetics, microbiology, fertility, drugs, tumor markers and molecular biology.

Through a rigorous management program, the Laboratory guarantees all the procedures of the analyzes, including pre and post analytical phases, safety phases and external evaluation programs, backed by a continuous training of the personnel.

Metropolitano Hospital’s Clinical Laboratory is a reference lab; it has agreements with a great number of institutions nationwide. It offers the service of processing routine tests as special diagnoses. In addition, it maintains agreements with foreign laboratories to send samples for tests that are not carried out in the country.

The lab has been completely renovated and automated, it is the most modern and reliable lab in the country, it operates 24 hours, 365 days a year and it has a processing capacity that allows to get results in the shortest possible time.
