Chemical injury
Is the skin permeation with corrosive substances such as acids, chemicals, etc.
Its treatment is similar to burns:
- Remove contaminated clothing.
- Drag the corrosive with running water.
- Treat as any other burn: cover and transfer to a hospital.
If the chemical burn occurs in the eyes:
- Flush with running water for at least 20 minutes.
- Cover both eyes.
- Urgent transfer to a specialized center.
